The Festival presents marquee premieres of Jessica Yu’s Last Call at the Oasis, an enthralling, entertaining, and ultimately sobering look at the world’s water crisis, and Micha X. Peled’s Bitter Seeds, about a farmer’s daughter who fights to give powerless Indian cotton farmers a voice against multinational seed and pesticide giant, the Monsanto Corporation.
