 ival 2011 Opening Night film <strong>BAG IT</strong> at the San Francisco 
 Public Library on Thursday\, August 23. This film will change your life!</
 p>\n<p>Americans use 60\,000 plastic bags every five minutes\, disposable 
 bags that they throw away without much thought. But where is “away”? Where
  do the bags and other plastics end up\, and at what cost to the environme
 nt\, marine life\, and human health? <strong>BAG IT</strong> follows “ever
 yman” Jeb Berrier as he navigates our plastic world. What he learns quickl
 y grows far beyond plastic bags… </p>\n<p>Also\, check out <em>“The Plasti
 c in Question”</em> exhibit on the 1st\, 4th and 5th Floors of the San Fra
 ncisco Main Library. Since 1999 Judith Selby Lang and Richard Lang have co
 llected more than two tons of plastic trash from 1\,000 yards of Kehoe Bea
 ch along the Point Reyes National Seashore. They have transformed this deb
 ris into engaging works of art that raise awareness of the sheer variety a
 nd ubiquity of plastic pollution and its impact on delicate marine ecosyst
